Kali Bari is well known to be a venue for Durga Puja celebrations every year. The iconic celebrations took place for the first time in 1925 around this temple and have ever since become a tradition. The annual puja is one of the oldest of its kind, like pujas conducted at Kashmere Gate, organized by Delhi Durga Puja Samiti.
